SP0RTS SWIM TEAM - The Bartlett swim team wrapped up their team efforts at the Shelby County Championships at St. George’s this Saturday. The team was represented by Meagan Kelley, Cyrah Gipson, Alex Crone, Jonathan Yoo, Amara Trammell, Blake Hutchison and Tarae Douglas. Meagan Kelley finished 4th overall in the 50 Back and 2nd in 100 IM. Jonathan Yoo finished in 9th place in the 50 Breast and 11th in 100 IM. Tarae Douglas finished in 13th place in 100 IM. Meagan will travel to Nashville next weekend to compete at the TN State Championships. Good luck, Meagan, and congratulations to all Panther swimmers! BOYS TRACK AND FIELD - Today, Coach Gardner is pleased to announce that Kevin Wilkes has accepted a position as one of the Assistant Coaches for our Boys Track and Field Team. Coach Wilkes will be responsible for training Bartlett’s discus, shot put, and decathlon athletes. Coach Wilkes has 15 years of coaching experience at the high school level, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, and played football all four years in high school as a linebacker and running back. Coach Gardner said, “Coach Wilkes’ experience in developing explosive strength and power, his contagious enthusiasm, and his focus on excellence will be a great fit with Bartlett’s Track and Field team. |
