SWIM TEAM - The Bartlett swim team wrapped up their team efforts at the Shelby County Championships at St. George’s this Saturday. The team was represented by Meagan Kelley, Cyrah Gipson, Alex Crone, Jonathan Yoo, Amara Trammell, Blake Hutchison and Tarae Douglas.
Meagan Kelley finished 4th overall in the 50 Back and 2nd in 100 IM. Jonathan Yoo finished in 9th place in the 50 Breast and 11th in 100 IM. Tarae Douglas finished in 13th place in 100 IM. 
Meagan will travel to Nashville next weekend to compete at the TN State Championships. Good luck, Meagan, and congratulations to all Panther swimmers!
BARTLETT TRAP TEAM - BHS individual award winners this past weekend are:
Maddie Boone - 2nd Place JV Female
Grant Gaither - 3rd Place Varsity Male
Tanis Birmingham - 2nd Place Varsity Female
Anna McClung - 1st Place Varsity Female 
Jake Taylor took high over all Varsity. Shooting the only perfect 100 of all the nearly 300 athletes competing Saturday!

FIRE SAFETY - A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Smoke detectors should be located on every floor of your home and near all places that you and your family sleep. Smoke detector batteries should be changed on a regular basis.

If you are interested, you will need to find a club, team, or organization to sponsor you. Your sponsor will submit your name to Ms. Drewry no later than TODAY, Wednesday, Jan 16.  You may campaign only after your sponsor has submitted your name to Ms. Drewry.  Voting for Winterfest Court will take place during 5th period on Wednesday, Jan. 23th.
 
BALFOUR – Attention Seniors – Your LAST opportunity to order graduation supplies is Friday, January 18th in the Senior Cafeteria during all lunches.  Balfour will be here to collect orders and deposits.  Also, if you ordered any wearables earlier this year, those will be available to pick up.  Extra info packets are available in the Main Office.

LACROSSE - The fastest game on two feet, Lacrosse, needs a few good men for the upcoming season! Lacrosse is an exciting fast paced game that you can learn now and play for a lifetime. We can provide equipment and teach you the game in a matter of days. If you are interested, please stop by East #1 and see Coach Croft about joining.
 
TENNIS - Any student wishing to play tennis this year needs to attend a team meeting in w204 TODAY, Wednesday, 1/16/19 at 2:30.
 
BOYS TRACK AND FIELD - Today, Coach Gardner is pleased to announce that Kevin Wilkes has accepted a position as one of the Assistant Coaches for our Boys Track and Field Team.  Coach Wilkes will be responsible for training Bartlett’s discus, shot put, and decathlon athletes.
 
Coach Wilkes has 15 years of coaching experience at the high school level, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, and played football all four years in high school as a linebacker and running back.
 
Coach Gardner said, “Coach Wilkes’ experience in developing explosive strength and power, his contagious enthusiasm, and his focus on excellence will be a great fit with Bartlett’s Track and Field team.
