CELEBRATION PARTY - Students make sure you are on time to class this month. If you have NO tardies and NO discipline referrals this month, you will be invited to attend a celebration party in March.
CAREER CHAT – TODAY, February 23 our Career Chat will feature careers in the areas of engineering, STEM, and IT. Representatives from FEDEX, US Corps of Engineers, Herff College of Engineering, Smith and Nephew, Robotics, Hilton Worldwide, and many more companies will be here. Plan to visit the library during 5th period with a hall pass or during your lunch.
FRIDAY – TODAY - Recruiters from the Memphis Police Department will be in room B-4 Friday, February 23rd from 7:30 to approximately 11:00 to speak to students regarding the Blue Path Program. Blue Path gives you a job during college and pays for your college education while you work. Bring a note from your teacher and try to come at the start of the period to get all their presentation.
Congratulations to the following students who earned scholarships this week! Remember, seniors! Bring copies of your acceptance and financial award letters to Mrs. Radford no later than Thursday, May 3rd to be included in the graduation program. This includes military enlistments! The class of 2017 earned over $25 million in awards...can the class of 2018 beat them?!?!

Attention Seniors: Balfour will be at school on Thursday, March 8th – during all lunches in the Senior Cafeteria to collect grad fees. IMPORTANT….Cash or Check (made out to Balfour) only!! This is the FINAL day to pay grad fees to avoid incurring late charges.

PARKING – Students who do not have a parking pass are not permitted to park in the student lot. The announcement on Tuesday, February 20th served as the final warning. Any student that parks without a pass will be written up and sent to their grade level administrator. BHS progressive discipline will be followed. The announcement/warning on Tuesday, February 20th served as the first step in the discipline guide. Subsequent infractions will result in detention, ISS, and having your vehicle removed from campus.
Prom Tickets will go on sale TODAY, Friday 2/23. Prices are $45 for single and $75 for couples. This is an early bird price so get them NOW! This year’s prom venue is at Shelby Farms Fed Ex Ballroom and will be a night to remember.
BARTLETT ANIMAL SHELTER - DONATIONS NEEDED - there is a box in the Main Office for donations to the Bartlett Animal Shelter. Anything is appreciated, from blankets to pet food and toys, to bleach. Everyone that donates will have their name entered in a drawing for a $20 Chick-fil-a gift card.
BOOK DRIVE FOR LE BONHEUR - DONATE NEW AND GENTLY USED BOOKS TO THE BOX IN THE MAIN OFFICE FOR BARTLETT’S BOOK DRIVE. THE BOOKS WILL BE DONATED TO LE BONHEUR CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL. WHOEVER DONATES WILL BE ENTERED IN A DRAWING FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN A $20 GIFT CARD.

What’s in the Wardrobe?
Well, okay it isn’t Aslan, but it IS a collection of creativity from your fellow students. The editorial board is now accepting submissions of poetry, stories, art, cartoons, plays, songs, graphics, essays, news stories, editorials, and any other manner of creative serious student work. Pick up submission forms in E15 and get your creative pieces turned in by March 1.
PANTHER PROWL 5K RUN - The 2nd annual Panther Prowl 5k run will be Saturday, March 3 at 8:30 am right here at Bartlett High School. The prowl is the annual fundraiser for the boys track and field team and we want to see you run, crawl, or even hop across the finish line on the track. For registration details see Coach Myers in M105. START STRONG-STAY STRONG-FINISH STRONGER!!
SWEETS - Need a sweet snack? See a HOSA member for some candy. All candy is $1 each. We have air head extremes, sour patch kids, Reese’s cups, Hershey bars, kit kats, caramello, m&ms, snickers, and skittles. All proceeds are going towards Hosa’s state conference. Thanks, Ms. Ozment(A24).
KEY CLUB – There will be no key club meeting Friday February 23rd. Key Club will meet Friday March 2nd directly after school in science-5.
BASKETBALL - The Girls basketball team is playing at home in the first- round region game TONIGHT at 7 pm against Hardin County. The Boys basketball team is playing at home against Dyer County at 7pm TOMORROW, Saturday. Come out to support your panthers!
WRESTLING - Last weekend the Panther wrestling team completed at State individuals. Congratulations to the Panther Wrestling State qualifiers
