COLLEGE AND CAREER NIGHT - Students- join us Tuesday, September 17th from 5pm-6:30pm in the main gym for College and Career Night! Representatives from two and four year colleges, technical schools, and military branches will be in attendance to meet with our students from any grade level about their post-secondary options. Stop by and work on your plans for life after high school!
BE A TUTOR - If you would like to sign up to be a peer tutor this year, see Mrs. Pilant in guidance. You will receive $10 an hour. You must have already taken the class and made an A in the class.
YOUTH COURT - We need students to be the lawyer prosecuting criminals at a real Juvenile Court trial.
We need students to be the lawyer defending criminals at a real Juvenile Court trial.
We need students to sit on a real Juvenile Court jury and decide the punishment for a juvenile criminal.
We need students who want to reduce crime through their community involvement, and work with real lawyers.
You can do this if you join the Youth Court team. You must be at least a Ninth-Grade student, have a 2.0 grade average, and pass a background check.
This program is a model for Tennessee schools.

This program is an awesome resume builder for your college application.

In October we will be administering the PSAT on campus. This is a practice College Entrance exam. You will get back meaningful feedback on areas that you need to improve and for Juniors this is the exam that could make you eligible to become a National Merit Scholar.
The cost is $20 and spots are limited. Please see Mrs. King in guidance to register.

Mu ALPHA THETA, the math honors society, is accepting new applicants until September 17th with $30 dues. You may pick up an application from Mrs. Gipson in NW227. Current members must pay $10 by next meeting, Sept 27.
GOLF - The Panther golf team dropped a match yesterday to White Station lowering their record to 21 wins and 10 losses. Brock Cates was the low scoring Panther with a 40. Cody White and Will Browning each shot a 45. The Panthers will be back in action next Tuesday with a match versus Collierville at Stonebridge.
