College and Career Night
Bartlett High School's annual College and Career Night will be Tuesday, September 26th from 5pm-6:30pm in the main gym. There will also be a financial aid mini-workshop from 5:30pm-6pm in the auditorium. All students and parents are welcome to attend to learn more about two and four year colleges, technical schools, and military branches.
GOVERNOR SCHOOL - Attention Sophomores and Juniors -if you are interested in applying to one of the 2018 TN Governor’s schools please see Mrs. Howard in guidance for more info.
SOPHMORES & JUNIORS: On 10-25-17 we will be administering the PSATon campus. This is a practice College Entrance exam. The cost is $20.00 and spots are limited. Please see Ms. Ross in Guidance to register.
PROM COMMITTEE Applications may be picked up in Room A24 (Mrs. Whitmore-High). They will be in an envelope outside of the classroom. Any Junior may apply. Only Seniors who were part of the committee last year may apply. Applications are due by Friday Sept. 22nd.
YARD SALE - The annual Panther Playhouse yard sale will be this Saturday from 7am-noon in front of the school. If you have items to donate, please bring them to the auditorium.
FIRE SAFETY - A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Emergency supply kits can help you be prepared. Items to keep in your emergency kit include a flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, whistle, phone lists, paper, pencil, water, and non-perishable snacks.
BALFOUR – Will be back to take class ring orders for Juniors and Seniors on Friday, Sept. 22 during all lunches in the cafeteria. Bring your $60.00 deposit and your order form. Packets are in the Main Office.
GO JIM GO - During a high school football game, Marshall McDaniel blocked an opposing player, whose knee came crashing into Marshall’s neck, breaking his neck. When Marshall arrived at Le Bonheur, surgeons removed the C6 vertebrae and placed four screws and two titanium strips in his back. After months in a brace, he recovered the strength in his neck. Support patients like Marshall by purchasing a Go Jim Go heart for $1 in the cafeteria.
FBLA- Last week to join for bonus gift. Please have your application and money ready. First meeting will be after school Thursday, 9/21 from 2:05 pm-2:30pm. Please be sure to be on time, and have transportation home. Thanks
BOOK CLUB - The BHS Book Club's first meeting is on Thursday of this week from 2:10-3:10pm in the Library. We will be discussing the book 13 Reasons Why. Book Club is great fun! We meet once a month to discuss the monthly book over refreshments and to vote on a book to read and discuss during our next month’s meeting. Hope to see you there!
SPANISH CLUB - will be hosting a clean-up day after school on TODAY, September 19. Students will meet in Mrs. Madero's room at 2:15. All students are welcomed!
VOLLEYBALL – TONIGHT is a red out for the home volleyball game against Collierville. Varsity game is at 6:30.
5K RUN – Students and Faculty. Join us for the Panther Pride 5K on Sat Sept 30--the morning of the Bartlett Festival--in Freeman Park. Register to run atbartlettrunners.com but save the processing fees and pay for the race in Coach Steinbrecher's room Main 213 with check or cash.
